● Sharpened senses. Manticores have sharper senses of eyesight, hearing, and smell than humans.
● Weakness to cold. Manticores can tolerate high levels of heat, but will be weakened by freezing weather. They become easier to kill as the temperature drops.
● The ability to withstand poison at twice the rate of normal humans or monsters that don't have a poison immunity.
Second Change
● Cat-like ears resembling those of a Sneasler; a long feather sprouts from the tip of his left ear, dark purple on top and a brighter magenta beneath.
● Sharp fangs instead of teeth.
● Clawed hands with pads on the bottom. When retracted, his claws are hooked and deep violet in color, not so long that he can't use his hands. Extended, they're easily double the length of his fingers, with a magenta sheen to them. Extremely tough and difficult to break.
● Fur on the upper arms, shoulders, and back; shaggy and a slightly darker shade of grey than his hair.
● Large black bat-like wings, capable of flight.
● Increased speed and jumping ability. Manticores are very fast and can leap far to pounce on their prey.
● Longer arms for the ability to run fast on all fours.
Third Change
● Clawed feet with pads on the bottom.
● A scorpion-like tail with venomous barbs at the end. The tail can be singular, forked, or three-pronged.
● Hunger and hunting instinct. Manticores are strictly carnivores and prefer to hunt their own food down. Hunting animals will satiate them for a short time, but the longer they go without hunting a human, the more they'll be compelled to do so until they start losing their self-control.
● The ability to change into a cat (either a house cat or a wild cat). In this form the character will be able to travel faster, however, they will also be more vulnerable.
● A melodic voice that can temporarily hypnotize humans and lure them closer.
