Or religious differences, I suppose. I am hardly claiming that was not foolish! It always made me feel a little bit disloyal to my Clan, in early days, but I never really could muster up the level of concern about it all that most people did. Suppose it was true, and the Diamond Clan really were worshiping Palkia, and had mistaken its nature - clearly it did not mind very much! Why should we?

I do not feel entirely like one yet. All of the memories I've recovered are still scattered like so many beads - I have not strung together any longer periods of time yet.

[It seems pretty random; sometimes they're from childhood, sometimes from adulthood, never really having anything to do with the last one. Emmet is typically there. They really were around each other pretty much every day, he supposes - but that's not too surprising, given that they're the same now.

He stretches, and settles back against Emmet's side.]

But that is alright! I do not feel so alienated from them anymore. I suppose they will return in their own time.

Like I one time saw a TinkaTok about this thing they do in Kanto or Johto or something where they fix broken things with gold and celebrate that, maybe your memories will be like that?

[But that's a thing he's forgotten in a regular way, if he ever knew. Ingo shuts his eyes for a second, to tilt his head for a sideways headbutt. It is difficult to think that he is repairing things in gold. Not when it is happening in Ryslig. But Emmet's mood seems better now; he isn't going to say anything to upset him again.]

We could probably find out! I do not suppose this place is very much like Kanto or Johto - oh, the local version of that is called Japan, actually! But maybe someone in town does it? I do not have anything that needs fixing, but I have never seen it done.

We go and find out if there is one, and then we buy a bunch of cheap plates to break when mad then go get them fixed.

[A little wasteful, to his mind, but he's certainly not going to go against any ideas Emmet has for managing anger right now. Anyway, Ingo does often wish he could break something himself. And it would be pretty.]

Cheap, but pretty! So that there is something to work with! There are a remarkable number of goods that seem nicely made to my eyes that are cheap here!

Probably got a factory somewhere that's making them crazy. Maybe if we can't find someone to do it, we can do it ourselves.

Then perhaps we could just do that! I admit, the idea of learning a new craft sounds like a challenge - [Which is, of course, exciting!] - but we're liable to hurt ourselves mucking about with molten metal, without so much as a teacher!

Or we could take it very slow and build up to it, someone had to do that to start it all, yup.

We'd need something much hotter than that, if it is anything like blacksmithing! I suppose we could find out about that much easier than the gold repairs...there must be people making things of gold in the city! They have jewelry!

I thought gold was a soft metal. And there must be!

I suppose I don't really know. This is certainly not something I did in Hisui! We did not have much metalworking in the Clan in general...but surely it takes more heat than cooking?

They wouldn't make it hot enough to melt pots, would they? We should just go to the library. Or ask the network, I suppose.
