Personality:
Ingo can initially come off as a very severe person. He has difficulty emoting via facial expressions, so is typically frowning, and tends to speak loudly. Indeed, this impression isn't entirely wrong. He is a very dutiful person; wherever he ends up in life, he takes his responsibilities very seriously. He's a hard worker and carries enough of an air of authority that he ends up in an extremely important cultural position in Hisui, despite being an outsider. He's also quite ambitious - he talks often about the importance of pushing oneself and continuing to improve even after victories. When he ends up in a place without a framework for organized competitive battling, he just creates one of his own, building up the training grounds to a level that can challenge elite trainers despite very few existing in Hisui and despite his own memory issues.

However, he's also far friendlier than his outward demeanor would imply. He's meticulously polite, and quite warm and open, taking care to look out for the PLA protagonist and confiding in them about his own experiences despite having only just met them. He's social enough to easily fit in wherever he ends up, having established himself as a trusted member of the Pearl Clan despite their general wariness of outsiders, and also quickly making a place for himself in Jubilife Village as well.

Ingo's very supportive by nature, something he himself acknowledges. He worries a great deal about the safety of those around him, even when he's not actually responsible for them per se, and he speaks about the importance of being strong enough to protect those around you. He seems happiest when working to take care of others, whether providing both protection and new challenges to his passengers, or personally caring for an individual's needs, as with Lady Sneasler. However, he's also principled and not willing to let people just roll right over him. He'll directly call people out if he thinks they're doing something wrong.

All of this can bounce back on him, however. He's a perfectionist, and tends to be quite hard on himself if he feels he's failing to live up to his duties or his own self-imposed standards. He also tends to put his own wants and needs below those of the people around him, to what can be an unhealthy degree. He's also somewhat prone to self-doubt, at least when it comes to personal matters; he might not hesitate in a battle, but he doesn't always trust his own scraps of memory and often questions whether or not he really understands himself.

Especially after losing most of his memory, he's a pretty reflective person. He thinks often about things such as his grander purpose in life, his own nature, and the nature of memories and feelings. Despite having an active role in Hisuian life, he's plainly still feeling somewhat distant; he seems more withdrawn and even occasionally spacey in PLA than he did in previous appearances, like he's having trouble fully connecting when he doesn't even really know himself.
